Chinese Toddler Run Over and Ignored

This is a terrible and sad story.  A little toddler believed to be named LuLu Wang Yue and nicknamed from online users YueYue was struck by a van on a Chinese market street in Foshan, Guangdong province. Worst is initially after being stuck and falling to the ground the van stops  and then continues to drive over the 2 year old again. You can watch the entire incident online from security footage that recorded the incident I have posted the link at the end but it is pretty graphic and shocking.

As sad as that is, its just the beginning. 18 pedestrians and cyclists passed by before Chen Xianmei stopped and puller the child to safety and called for help. This was her statement on how she found YueYue, “I was picking up trash in the hardware market when I saw a child lying in the road, I walked up in a hurry to the girl and heard her groan. I lifted her up and saw that one of her eyes was closed, that she had tears in her eyes, and she was bleeding from her mouth, nose and the back of her head.”

At this point she had been run over several times and was terribly injured. Sadly YueYue died in hospital from her injuries.

The fact that YueYue was run over several times and completely ignored by 18 people is disgusting. I can not fathom seeing an innocent child bleeding on the street and keep on walking. This shows a complete lack of humanity from the citizens of China.

Both drivers who ran over YueYue have been detained but it is unclear if they will be charged at this point. The initial driver needs to be charged for manslaughter, after initially striking YueYue this driver should have gotten out of the van when they stopped. She would have most likely been saved. She then was run over several times which sealed her final fate.
